Big Bend NP is partially open (day-use only). The paved road between Persimmon Gap and Maverick entrances is open. The road to Chisos Basin is open, and the road to Rio Grande Village. Most trails along those roads are open. No camping or lodging.
Group sizes are limited to either five people or a single household. A state mandatory mask order remains in effect in Brewster County, Texas, where the park is located.
The National Park Service will determine further reopening and closures according to the local and regional status of the pandemic, following the advice of the federal, state and local public health officials.
So before you hit the road, check the location your heading out first.
